CertiDrone is an independent service for preparing for Transport Canada drone pilot exams. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the rights granted to you under Quebec's Law 25 (Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector).
Privacy officer
The role of privacy officer is held by CertiDrone's management, reachable at [email protected]. Any question about your personal information may be addressed to them.
Information we collect
Account: your email address and password (stored only as a hash, never in plain text). Progress: your mock exam results (score, answers, date). Pilot profile (optional): the information you choose to display in the directory. We collect no payment data at this stage.
Purposes
To create and secure your account, save and show your progress, list your profile in the directory if you consent, and notify you about your account. No advertising use.
Consent
Creating an account requires your explicit, timestamped consent, kept as proof. You may withdraw it at any time by deleting your account.
Retention
Your data is kept while your account is active. On account deletion it is destroyed (immediate effect), including results and any pending certification document.
Disclosure to third parties
We do not sell or rent your information. It may be processed by strictly necessary subcontractors (hosting, email delivery) bound by confidentiality. Your pilot profile content is published only if you consent, field by field.
Your rights (Law 25)
You have the right to access your information, correct it, delete it (right to be forgotten, from your account), request portability, and withdraw consent. You may also file a complaint with Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information.
Cookies
We use only cookies necessary for the site to work (session, security, language and theme preference). No advertising cookies.
Security
Hashed passwords (bcrypt), security headers (CSP, HSTS), encryption in transit. Certification documents are destroyed as soon as the verification decision is made.
Changes
This policy may be updated; the date at the top indicates the latest version.
